In an era when cutbacks in the Cincinnati Public Schools system are common, the Withrow Marching Band continues to achieve. For example:

• They took first place in the recent "Battle of the Bands" at The University of Cincinnati's Nippert Stadium.
  
• Their performance in the Harvest Home Parade generated rave reviews like this one:
  
  "I wanted to take a minute to let you know how much we enjoyed the Band. The music was excellent and the student's enthusiasm was a joy to see. As a former marching band member I know how hard the students work and how long the Harvest Home parade route is! Please let your students know that all their hard work was worth it. They should be very proud of their accomplishment."

Now our Band has been selected by Ohio Senator George Voinovich to march in the Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C. on July 4, 2008 !
