WITHROW WITH NO BRIDGE ?

Sadly, our beloved bridge has again begun to show the signs of wear and aging.

In the 31 years since our last preservation effort, very serious problems have developed.

The walking surface has begun to deteriorate badly
and many bricks are loose and broken.

The supporting structure has eroded
and begun to come apart under the bridge.

The repairs required to bring the bridge to a safe condition has been estimated to cost approximately $115,000
and includes major work on the walking deck, arch, and supporting columns.

If the full amount cannot be raised for the repairs, condemnation and
blockade of the bridge has been discussed !

We all want to preserve the wonderful "Arching bridge and shaded valley..."
mentioned in our Alma Mater for future generations !

We know that as a group we can each chip in something
to preserve our precious bridge.

to help raise funds to fix the bridge !

The net proceeds of this event will be donated
to the bridge repair fund.
